What if there was an action you could take in the blink of an eye? Let's do a very small data experiment. I think you are up to date with the fact that business aviation is responsible for around 2% of aviation's carbon emissions which causes around 2.5% of global carbon emissions. That's 0.05% of global carbon emissions (1). Ok it's low compared to others - but it still represents around 29 million tonnes of carbon dioxide. Not far away from the emissions of a country like Danemark (2). Now we know that rainforests - for which the best example is the Amazon - are threatened by deforestation. Some studies explain that the annual cost of protection would be around $3 billion USD (3). Now what if we all stand up as an industry to gather that money? Each tonne of CO2 would need to be priced around $103 USD to gather this money. But yes, that's a small simplified example of what we could happen if we try. Now we know it's a high price , we also know that enforcing those things does not work, it would stay voluntary, meaning just a few of those carbon emissions would be covered. If only 10% of flights are covered, at $10 per tonne we can pump the 50% of the amazon protected by 1% per year! At Azzera, a while ago we decided to help, if we can funnel more money where it's needed, we will have a positive outcome. We can't stop people from flying but we can at least do better on a global scale. Today we introduce a new feature, tailored to business aviation on our platform #CELESTE called #FlyBeyond which completely simplifies quoting for #CarbonCredits and #SAF for any flights. Our wonderful team (We love you Holly Thompson & Shivam Patel) added the expertise we have been building for two years within the platform: - Access our project impact assessment per project - We propose our science-based portfolio, tailored for aviation impact.
