Ampaire has completed a milestone under the AFWERX Agility Prime Program. Our King Air ground demonstrator is pushing the boundaries of aviation by validating the AMP Drive hybrid-electric powertrain for both commercial and defense applications. Building on the insights gained from our first-generation powerplant, which successfully powered the Eco Caravan to its inaugural flight in November 2022, we've now developed a fully integrated layout of the mechanical, electrical, fuel, and thermal subsystems tailored for the King Air. As part of our partnership with AFWERX under the Agility Prime program, our recent Critical Design Review (CDR) with the customer showcased our meticulous design and development process, focused on adapting the AMP Drive installation to an Ampaire-modified King Air wing nacelle. These enhancements ensure optimal weight and balance for takeoff and landing while addressing various performance attributes critical to diverse mission profiles. Following a successful CDR, we are on track to begin assembly, which will also serve as a key asset for ground testing.
