Big news from Conuma Resources! On September 5th, mining operations at Quintette Mine resumed after 24 years. Conuma’s coal plays a key role in steel production and supports a vision for a low-carbon future. 🌍 We contributed to this milestone by working on a significant hopper project for the Quintette Mine in Tumbler Ridge. In May, we focused on installing AR400 wear plates with Nelson studs on the lower hopper. These durable components protect the insides of chutes and hoppers, ensuring longevity and efficiency. Our own TIW Steel Platework Inc. Inc., with facilities in St. Catharines and Edmonton, specializes in large API 650 and API 620 storage tanks. They once completed five massive 273-ft-diameter open-top floating roof tanks with steel pontoon decks in South Edmonton. During hydro-testing, they had to heat and circulate the lines to prevent freezing in -45°C (-49°F) weather. 🥶 #calibreindustrialgroup #pressurevessels #steelfabrication #storagetanks
