It’s a family affair. We’re proud Canerector is a 3rd generation, family-owned business. But look across our network and you’ll find we’re not the only ones who keep it in the family. At a recent Accounting Basecamp, we asked attendees to share something that makes them proud. Our Controller at The Conrex Group of Companies didn’t have to look far. That’s because both his children are Accountants in our network of businesses. His daughter even played a role in his onboarding! We’re thrilled their family is an integral part of ours and thank them for all they do to keep us running smoothly!

It’s the unofficial end of summer. While many will spend the weekend preparing for the transition to fall, our VP of Finance will be marking a significant transition of his own: retirement. As we bid farewell to Kevin Stinson, CPA, CA, CMA, we wanted to share this special tribute to celebrate the legacy he leaves behind.

Grilled to perfection. Achieving this requires precision, patience, and an expert understanding of how to bring out the best in everything, every time. These are the same qualities Kevin Stinson, our VP of Finance, has brought to our network. Whether in the office or across our businesses, we’ve seen his skills in action daily. It’s no surprise that he’s also a master of the grill! So, what better way to celebrate his retirement than with a gourmet food truck? Kevin, as you hang up your Canerector apron and step into your next chapter, know that your leadership and vision have left a lasting impact. Thank you for always knowing how to get it just right. You will be missed!

We have deep admiration and respect for founders. Their passion. Their drive. Their ability to create something special from nothing. Founders like Harry Hall, whose incredible entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Aberfoyle Metal Treaters Ltd in 1989, a business he entrusted to Canerector in 2012. We were saddened to hear of Harry’s recent passing but are grateful for our time together. We remain deeply committed to ensuring Aberfoyle Metal Treaters continues to thrive for the long-term, honoring Harry’s legacy and the foundation he built. 📸 Pictured here with his wife Etta at the 2015 Canerector AGM.

Camp without s’mores? These awesome girls said, “Heck yes!” Girls Exploring Trades and Technology is just one of several programs the Canerector Foundation and RRC Polytech support. We love how kids receive hands-on exposure to careers in the trades and meet women in non-traditional fields, all in a fun-filled camp environment. GMs from our local businesses Northern Blower Inc., Nordstrong Equipment Limited, and Champ Metal Fabrication stopped by to check out the action. They were impressed by the facility, instruction, programming, and, most of all, these young go-getters. Your future is bright!

Moments like these. They fire us up and leave us bursting with pride for the amazing accomplishments across our network of companies. Canerector’s Summer Town Hall was one for the books! Highlights included: - Amanda's fireside panel on what it’s really like to acquire a business...or three! - Hearing from six GMs whose initiatives contributed to our whopping $50/60MM of CapEx investments in progress this year! - A GM’s take on his company’s recent ERP transition and the benefits he's finding on the other side. Thank you to all our leaders who participated in the event, we couldn’t have done it without you. And to all our companies across North America whose hard work, dedication, and big ideas drive us forward – we salute you!
