A child's “first bites” into solid foods marks a significant milestone in their development, transitioning from the familiar embrace of milk and breastfeeding to a world of diverse tastes and textures. "First Bites" is a chance to empower parents, celebrate the joy of culinary exploration, and ensure that every child's “first bites” into solid foods is nourished with love, care, and essential nutrients. WHAT CAN I DONATE - Meat, fruit, and vegetable purees - Baby cereals, crackers, and puffs - Toddler-safe, non-perishable foods OTHER WAYS TO HELP Food Donations Smaller quantities can be brought to the main entrance door at the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre Located at 202 Avenue C South, Saskatoon. Large Food donations can be brought directly to the warehouse door located at the back of the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre, accessed using the back alley off of 21st St. W. This February, Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre (SFBLC) is addressing a need in early childhood nutrition with the annual First Bites Campaign. The month-long initiative aims to raise critical funds and awareness to support local Saskatoon babies and toddlers in need. Canpotex, a long-term supporter of SFBLC, is the driving force behind this initiative, and we will be matching every dollar donated this month, up to $50,000, to double the impact of community contributions. 🤝 “We are incredibly proud of our long-term partnership with the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre. For nearly a decade, Canpotex has been a leading sponsor of numerous initiatives focused on providing healthy food for infants and children in the Saskatoon community.
