Friday marked a historic achievement for our team at Coast to Coast Experiences, in collaboration with our partners from BC Hydro Powertech Labs Inc., Lion Electric, and Fermata Energy. We also express our gratitude to the Honourable George Heyman, Minister of Environment and Climate Change Strategy of British Columbia and the Honourable Brenda Bailey, Minister of Jobs, Economic Development. We successfully conducted the first-ever proof-of-concept testing for bi-directional medium and heavy-duty electric vehicle charging in Canada. This groundbreaking achievement opens the door for electric buses not only to consume energy but also to contribute back to the grid, effectively serving as mobile battery storage. Beyond being a technological milestone, this initiative represents a significant stride toward an electrified transportation ecosystem that enhances grid resilience and energy efficiency.
