Over the past couple weeks, the northern lights have been putting on a spectacular show across Canada and parts of the US. Take a look at this shot of our Calgary terminal taken by Jacob Leski, P&D Planner last week!

The energy-efficient LED exterior lights are shining brightly over our 114-door cross-dock terminal in Brampton! As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we’re looking at how we use energy across our network and making improvements like this lighting upgrade. Since 2020, we’ve reduced our energy consumption by over 3 million kWh, cutting carbon emissions by 787,710kg. That’s about the same as the annual electricity used by 155 homes! Recently, we delivered three flatbed loads to Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories – one of our most remote shipments in Canada to date! The entire delivery took 10 days round trip from Edmonton, Alberta. Day & Ross driver, Noah Davis, and Broker, Tao Su, navigated patchy reception with dispatch, challenging road conditions, and even a short ferry trip across a river before successfully delivering the goods to our customer. A big thanks to Noah, Tao, and the Dispatch and Logistics teams on a truly impressive haul! #thankatrucker #driverappreciation

SPOTTED: One of our Truckers Against Trafficking trailers getting ready to hit the road in PA! For Day & Ross driver Steve Reder, it was an opportunity to shed light on an important cause. “I was honored to take the trailer out for delivery and play a small part in spreading awareness,” Steve shared. Thanks to Steve for being a great advocate! To learn more about our partnership with TAT, visit www.dayross.com/TAT.

We’re excited to share that we’ve renewed our support of TAT for $100,000 once again this year! More than just financial support, we’ve hosted mobile exhibits in Canada and the US to give our teams and customers a chance to learn more about the fight against human trafficking.
