“Government’s ambition on newly updated environmental law falls flat”—that’s the title of today’s Op-Ed in The Hill Times by Ecojustice’s Healthy Communities Director, Dr. Elaine MacDonald. You can read the full thing here: https://bit.ly/3NzVI0D. And we’ve compiled the gist for you in the slides below. The message is clear: The feds need to go back to the drawing board on the implementation of this crucial law. Good news: there’s still time to change course. The government is accepting feedback on the draft implementation until November 13. And you can join us in demanding the *strongest* possible protections for everyone in Canada. 📧🔗 We've posted the link to take action with us in the comments below 👇 #BillS5 #Ecojustice #CEPA

A plan is only as strong as its execution. Canada has the chance to create legal pathways to ensure its biodiversity commitments are met. We need to strengthen the Nature Accountability bill and get it across the finish line. That way, Canada can finally become a nature champion and meet its commitments to the world. Send your letter to ministers today via the link below bio and support our efforts on the ground. https://lnkd.in/gsA2P_qs
