Homes are burning right now, and thousands of families are being evacuated as late season fires rip through the U.S. Last winter, more than 100 holdover fires smouldered underground through the winter months. "We have some fires that ignited in 2022 and 2023 that are still burning on Oct. 1, 2024 and will still be burning in 2025," days Lori Daniels, a wildfire expert and University of British Columbia forestry professor. Each of our founders has personally felt the profound impact of wildfires, witnessing firsthand the devastation they bring. Our vision is to work with customers and partners to pre-position, automated firefighting drones—each part of a powerful tapestry ready to intervene with speed and precision, halting early-stage fires before they escalate—safeguarding our communities, our homes, and habit. 💫 In a twist of fate, we found ourselves inside the very water bomber that responded to our wildfire last July. Jonathon Golden invited FireSwarm Solutions Inc leadership to the Wildfire Industry Collective (WIC) member meetup, hosted by Ignis Technologies at Bridger Aerospace HQ in Bozeman, Montana. We got the tour of a lifetime! Seeing these behemoth CL-415 and CL-215T water bombers up close is awe-inspiring. Originally built in Canada, Bridger Aerospace retrofits these giants to keep them in the fight. Coming full circle…from standing on our dock waving to these pilots in gratitude, to the heartbreak of losing our family’s legacy home, to learning how critically short aerial support is—and diving in to turn tragedy into action for meaningful change. 🚒 Last week, the FireSwarm team had the honor of attending the 35th Annual 2024 Indigenous Public Safety Conference, hosted by the National Indigenous Fire Safety Council (NIFSC). We met fire operations stakeholders from First Nations across Canada and learned more about the unique challenges they face in firefighting and community safety. 💡 The insights shared will guide us in enhancing our solutions to better serve Indigenous and remote communities.
