Over 3,500 essential kits were delivered to social service agencies, homeless shelters, and outreach relief organizations across the GTA. It’s inspiring to witness the power of collective action and the difference it can make for our community. A heartfelt thank you to the incredible organizers, volunteers, and local businesses who made this happen. We’re humbled to once again support Engage and Change’s Project Winter Survival Initiative, which provides essential survival kits and supplies to the homeless community in the GTA. While we hope for a future where initiatives like this are no longer necessary, we are proud to play a role in delivering these vital kits to those in need. Each Winter Survival Kit contains a sleeping bag, toque, scarf, winter gloves, socks, and personal and health care items to help get them through these difficult months. A big thank-you to the incredible organizers, generous donors, and local businesses who have stepped up and made this possible so far. This holiday season, the true magic of Christmas came to life through the spirit of giving. 🎁 We’re honoured to support the The Salvation Army in Canada Toy Mountain Drive - one of our favourite initiatives of the year - by delivering donated gifts from the collection center to children and families across Canada. From coast to coast, our trucks were filled not just with presents but with hope, joy, and the love of a giving community. As our Chief of Operations, Ted Brown explains, “making deliveries is what we do, but giving and making sure that we take care of those who need help is who we are.” To everyone who donated, volunteered, or supported this incredible cause—thank you for reminding us all what the season is truly about. We were proud to sponsor and attend the Toronto Transportation Club 109th Annual Dinner, a gathering of 1,400 transportation and logistics professionals celebrating our industry’s success. ✨🚛 Huge congratulations to Stacey Large, the club’s newest President. Her speech about mentorship and family values deeply resonated with us as a family-oriented company. We’re excited to see her leadership in action. The club also raised an impressive $45,500 in scholarships for five students, paving the way for future logistics leaders. A highlight of the evening was hearing from hockey legend turned healthcare hero, Hayley Wickenheiser. Growing up in a family of long-haul truck drivers, her story scored points with everyone in the room. She explained how, during the pandemic, it was the trucking community that kept society moving forward by delivering PPE, medicine and equipment when much of the world was at a standstill – a powerful reminder of the essential role that we play in a functioning society. 💪 As always, we left the event feeling recharged and revved up for another incredible year! Another successful #safety meeting is in the books! ✅ Last week, we gathered with our #Montreal drivers to dive into new regulations and refresh our understanding of the rules that help keep our roads safe. It was also an opportunity to celebrate some incredible milestones! From our Independent Contractors who have completed thousands of safe miles to those who consistently go above and beyond in delivering exceptional service to our customers and clients—you are the true backbone of #Fortigo. Your dedication inspires us every day. ❤️ A special shoutout to Nancy Gravel from Northbridge Insurance, whose expertise in prevention for transportation and logistics added immense value to our session. Nancy reminded us of a key takeaway: the best way to handle an accident is to plan ahead. Thank you to everyone who made this event meaningful and impactful.
