We're excited to share highlights from our World Environment Day celebration held last week at the #Muntanga School. This event brought the community together to emphasize the importance of environmental conservation through various sustainable practices. Mwila Bwangandu, our environmental officer, played a key role in organizing and leading the day, with strong support from the GoviEx Zambia team, led by our country manager, Lyapa Manza. The theme for this year’s event was Accelerating Land Restoration for Drought Resilience. We raised awareness about environmental protection, donated educational materials to pupils and promoted a community-managed seed bank, which will support a nursery for indigenous trees, enhancing local biodiversity. Thank you all for this amazing event and for the Muntanga School for hosting us. Together, we're working toward a more sustainable future.

We are proud to support the ongoing Women's Solar Engineering Program in #Niger! This initiative, funded by GoviEx Uranium in partnership with Barefoot college International (BCI) underscores our commitment to community development and women's empowerment in West Africa. The program, held at BCI’s Regional Training Centre near Dakar, Senegal, welcomes two women from Gougaram, near our #Madaouela Uranium Project, to embark on a three-month intensive training course in solar engineering. This initiative aims to empower rural women and provide remote communities with a renewable, reliable energy source, promoting educational and economic uplift in one of the world’s most energy-deficient regions. Upon their return, these women will bring back 60 solar home lighting systems to install in their villages, becoming pivotal figures in their communities by managing solar installations that offer clean, reliable energy. At GoviEx Uranium, our dedication to local communities extends beyond mining operations. We maintain water wells, refurbish schools, donate food, and sponsor local events to enhance the quality of life around the Madaouela project, which promises significant benefits for Niger through job creation, revenue generation, and royalty payments. We believe this program is an inspiring story worth sharing. For more information or interviews, please contact us. In a recent chat with African Energy, Govind Friedland, the Executive Chairman of GoviEx Uranium, shared a powerful insight that resonates with the current energy landscape. "We can’t talk about clean energy without nuclear, and it's impossible to have nuclear without uranium. Africa offers high-quality uranium projects, which provide the much-needed diversification of supply in the sector." 🌍 Africa's Role in Global Energy: This statement underscores the pivotal role of uranium in the clean energy mix and highlights Africa's significant contribution to this sector. The continent's rich uranium reserves are not just a resource; they are a gateway to a more diversified and secure energy future. 💡 Why This Matters: As we navigate the challenges of energy security and climate change, it's crucial to recognize the indispensable role of nuclear power. Journalist - African energy, power, critical minerals

Miners have intensified uranium extraction and prospecting in Africa over the past two years as market prices surged after a decade of post-Fukushima lows. The upwards trend is a fillip for new investment. Greenfield developments include Global Atomic Corporation’s Dasa in Niger, Vancouver-listed GoviEx Uranium’s Madaouela in Niger and Muntanga in Zambia, and ASX-listed AuKing Mining Limited’s Mkuju in Tanzania. GoviEx executive chairman Govind Friedland Freedland told African Energy that “we can’t talk about clean energy without nuclear and it impossible to have nuclear without uranium. Africa offers high quality uranium projects, which provide the much-needed diversification of supply in the sector.” For more on the surge of activity among Africa’s uranium miners, including updates on new licence and project restarts in Namibia and Malawi, see our article: https://lnkd.in/eua5jHHm #Botswana #Malawi #Namibia #Niger #Tanzania #Zambia #Africa #uranium #yellowcake #energytransition #mining #U3O8 #energy #power

We are pleased to announce the completion of our drilling campaign at Muntanga in Zambia.   In 2023, we completed an impressive 15,835-meter drilling program on the Muntanga and Dibbwi East deposits.. The results of the current infill drilling program are promising, indicating the potential for conversion of mineral resources from the inferred into the indicated categories.   Thanks to our team in Zambia for their hard work and dedication!   Looking ahead, we are on track to complete our Feasibility Study and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) in 2024. Our vision is clear: to commence uranium production within two years post-financing, becoming a uranium supplier in this uranium cycle.

We are thrilled to share that the GoviEx Zambia team had a fantastic experience at #ZIMEC 2023 last week. This year's inspiring theme, “Investing in Zambia, Mine to Market, Clean Energy and the Sustainable Development of Future Minerals,” perfectly echoed our dedication to pioneering sustainable mining practices and exploring clean energy avenues. Our booth was a hub of activity, attracting a wealth of visitors who engaged with our team on the immense potential and future-focused trajectory of mining in Zambia. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who attended, contributing to the vibrant discussions around the pivotal role of mining in the nation’s economic tapestry. A highlight of the event was the honor of being visited by distinguished guests — the UK High Commissioner to Zambia, Mr. Nicholas Woolley, and the Zambian Minister of Mines, Hon. Paul Kabuswe, MP. Their presence at our booth was a testament to the supportive framework the Zambian government has fostered for enterprises like ours. We are deeply appreciative of the opportunity to operate in Zambia, a land endowed with rich mineral wealth and a government that exemplifies partnership and support. We believe that sustainable development is not a mere aspiration but a concrete plan of action. At GoviEx Zambia, we're not just mining minerals; we're cultivating partnerships, advancing clean energy solutions, and investing in a future where the mining industry operates in harmony with the planet and its people. #GoviExZambia #ZIMEC2023 #SustainableMining #CleanEnergy #InvestInZambia #MiningIndustry #EconomicDevelopment #Partnership #FutureMinerals #Zambia
