🏗️💧 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 In February last year, at the inaugural GTSWCA Municipal Infrastructure Summit, Halton Region provided updates on their capital works with 10-year linear capital programs to 2031, including the implemented long-term plan to improve one of the most important east-west transportation facilities in the region, Dundas Street. The Halton Regional Council also introduced a Vendor Performance Management (VPM) process, aiming to enhance vendor performance management, promote quality service delivery, and ensure accountability in municipal projects. The VPM initiative is stated to play a key role in shaping the region's future of procurement and project delivery. As we look ahead to this year's summit, we are excited to see continued progress on these initiatives and more. Recycled Crushed Aggregate (#RCA) is exactly what it sounds like: #concrete and #asphalt that is processed and reused. Instead of ending up in a landfill, this sustainable, cost-effective, and high-performing material can be used in the construction and maintenance of roads, subdivisions, highways, bridges, and tunnels to help lower overall carbon emissions and project costs. Together with our industry coalition partners, we're launching a new campaign to urge municipalities to adopt policy changes to increase the use of RCA in the construction of public #infrastructure projects.
