🚨 BUILD SITE UPDATE🚨 This beautiful homemade its journey to its new home in Harrington in early July. Since then, we've been working hard to get the basement built and renovate the upstairs. It is far from finished (excuse the mess!) but we wanted to give you folks a sneak peek inside! 👀 Also! We are hosting an open house in Georgetown next Thursday, October 3rd from 2pm-6pm. This open house will give an opportunity to those interested in our homeownership program to learn more about the process and application criteria. If there wasn't already a #NationalAmandaDay, we would have created one! 👏 We thought there was no better way to tell you more about our Operations Manager, Amanda, than by celebrating her National Name Day! 🥳 Amanda wears many hats in our organization - her title is Operations Manager & Executive Assistant to the CEO, but she is also the keeper of things and keeps us all on track. Task Master - if you will. 😉 Amanda has a diverse range of professional history and education. She graduated from Oulton College obtaining a Hospitality and Tourism diploma. She has worked in numerous retail, and food and beverage outlets before starting her journey with not-for-profit organizations. She joined Habitat for Humanity Saint John Region in 2019 and moved to Prince Edward Island to join the Habitat for Humanity PEI team in 2020. She’s worked in the organization's ReStore and has had several different roles before becoming the organization's Operations Manager in 2023. (She has just surpassed 5 years with Habitat for Humanity!) Amanda has traveled and lived in many different parts of Canada, but the East Coast will always be her home. Residing in Prince Edward Island, she cherishes her time spent with her parents in New Brunswick and her brother & sister in law in Nova Scotia.
