Our Battery Recycling Program makes responsible electronic waste management simple and impactful. By collecting used household batteries, and through our partnership with Teck Resources Limited. and Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd. , these batteries are responsibly recycled, and support programs that provide zinc supplements to children in developing countries. For the second year in a row, we’re thrilled to share that Hazelview Properties has achieved 100% green building certification across our entire multi-residential portfolio through the Building Owners and Managers Association BOMA BEST BOMA Canada & the Canadian Certified Rental Building™ Program (CRBP) Federation of Rental-housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO)   The CCRB-approved buildings met 55 industry-leading best practices, including 10 environmental management standards and these properties are also Living Green Together™ environmentally certified. The BOMA BEST certification recognizes excellence in energy and environmental management across seven major categories related to building operations & maintenance. At Hazelview Properties, we’re making it easier for residents to choose sustainable living. At Hazelview, we are providing on-site electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. We are excited to see that residents have plugged into the benefits of our EV stations— with over 800 charging sessions in January 2025 alone, representing a 50% increase in usage over the last three months! As part of our commitment to being a responsible steward of the environment, these charging stations not only support the growing number of EV owners in our communities but also highlights how convenient, on-site charging is. Hazelview will continue to invest in EV charging stations at properties across the country. By embracing EV technology, Hazelview residents are helping drive the Canadian transition towards fewer emissions, and creating cleaner, more sustainable communities.
