Denizen doesn’t just build buildings, they build the teams and plans that build the buildings. It's why they say they make spaces built on relationships. But they weren’t always Denizen. They came to us as Sonroc Group, a team that had shaped Calgary and Alberta’s landscape with architecture and engineering but we’re growing with new national business, fresh partnerships, and expanded services. In short, they were poised for bigger things and their old brand wasn’t keeping up. And so we started rebuilding their brand; planning, writing, designing and making new connections all played a part in what you see here. We think it looks pretty swell and can't wait to see it develop. Congrats Denizen! Steve Driedger, Darren Koyata, Jenn Lau, Lawrence Ochoa, Risa Newman, Amanda Surtees, and Haley Irwin. With thanks to: Anaïs Bayle, Lance Cummings, Tony Hird, Nicole Steward, Anna Mikhelson, and Heleena Webber. #branding #design

Can a name be worth a thousand pictures? For Elastic Studios, it can and more. While many photo studios are named after neighbourhoods or streets, Elastic was always going to be different. Owned by prominent Vancouver photographers (Lindsay Siu and Clinton Hussey) the studio was designed to be the kind of place other creative people would want. It would be cool, organized and so thoughtfully laid out that multiple projects could work at the same time. This last point was our inspiration. Today, Elastic Studios is a fast, flexible, fun and functional space that has hosted hundreds of productions in dozens of ways–living up to the promise of its name. #naming #branding
