Endometriosis affects approximately 10% of those assigned female of birth, yet it still takes an average of 7-9 years to receive a formal diagnosis.   A recent article published in The Lancet explores the disparities in #endometriosis diagnosis and treatment. Pelvic pain patients deserve better. "Patients reported having seen an average of 5.7 providers prior to presentation. Patients felt supported by only 42% of past providers. Patients felt belittled by 27% of past providers.
