🎄 Canada’s Holiday Shopping Preferences Revealed 🛒 With major shopping events just around the corner, our IMI Pulse™ data uncovers some fascinating trends in Canadian shopping habits over the past few years: 🛍️ In-Store Still Matters, But It’s Losing Ground In-store shopping saw a strong comeback at the start of 2022, nearly reaching pre-pandemic levels. However, interest has since dropped by almost 5%. Canadians still appreciate the in-person experience, but preferences are clearly shifting. 📈 Online Interest Rebounds After a pandemic-driven surge, online shopping interest dipped 7.5% below pre-pandemic levels by early 2023. Now, as of mid-2024, online interest is on the rise again, approaching previous highs. Why the renewed interest? Improved online experiences like free shipping and a wider selection are enticing Canadians back. This holiday season, Canadian retailers should focus on both fronts: enhancing in-store experiences while boosting online perks. Meeting shoppers where they are could be the key to capturing Canadian hearts—and wallets—this year. #CanadianShopping #HolidayTrends2024 #RetailStrategies #InStoreVsOnline #HolidaySeasonReady

🚨 Holiday Shopping Trends: US In-Store vs. Online 🚨 As we gear up for major shopping events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Boxing Day, our IMI Pulse data highlights key shifts in US shopping habits from 2019 through mid-2024: 📊 In-Store Comeback By 2022, in-store shopping returned to pre-pandemic levels and remains strong, with 85% of shoppers preferring the hands-on experience. 💻 Online Decline Although online shopping surged during the pandemic, interest has dropped 3.5% since 2022, now falling below pre-pandemic levels. Consumers want more than just products—they crave experiences. As US shoppers increasingly choose in-store, brands should focus on elevating the in-store experience to drive engagement and growth. It offers a sense of community and interaction that online shopping just can’t replicate. #ShoppingTrends #RetailFuture #InStoreExperience #BlackFriday2024 #BrandGrowth
