  • Live event advertising in streaming TV moves FAST.    When millions of viewers tune in at the same time, ad requests must be processed in milliseconds to keep streams running smoothly. Even the smallest delay can lead to blank slates or disrupted broadcasts.    Rob Hazan, our VP of product, streaming TV, breaks down the key challenges—like latency, creative readiness, and accurate signaling—and how the industry is solving them.    Watch the full video to see how live event advertising works in streaming TV. 🎥 ⬇️     https://lnkd.in/e5UXs_kC

  • #CommerceMedia is one of the fastest-growing areas in #DigitalAdvertising. But as more retailers look to scale beyond their owned inventory, the challenge becomes clear: How do you activate first-party data securely and efficiently across a broader ecosystem? At #BeetRetreat in San Juan, our CMO Lori Goode sat down with David Kaplan from Beet.TV to explore what’s next for commerce media. "Retailers are moving into this evolution of becoming media powerhouses, which is really exciting. It’s about taking all of their first-party data, making it available to others, and then activating it in ways that are beneficial to consumers and also to brands," Lori shared. • At the AdTech Economic Forum, Index CEO Andrew Casale spoke with Tom Triscari about how curation and sell-side decisioning are driving a major shift in ad tech economics. For years, intelligence and optimization have primarily lived only on the buy side, leaving sell-side technology undervalued. But that’s changing. "What's really going on is the beginning of the next chapter of innovation in our market, which is a structural change," Andrew shared. Sell-side decisioning makes inventory smarter—optimizing earlier in the supply path to reduce inefficiencies and unlock better outcomes. Supply isn’t just available; it's optimized and strategically activated before reaching the buy side. This evolution isn’t about replacing existing systems—it’s about strengthening them to create a more efficient, transparent, and value-driven programmatic ecosystem.

  • How can streaming TV publishers share more precise content signals programmatically—without exposing granular data in the bidstream?    Enter: extended content identifiers. ECIDs provide a way for publishers and SSPs to share valuable content metadata in #OpenRTB bid requests, helping buyers make more informed decisions without exposing show-level data.    Rob Hazan, our VP of product, streaming TV, explains how ECIDs can enhance content-based targeting in programmatic over on the IAB Tech Lab blog.    This proposal is in public comment until April 10, 2025—join the conversation and share your thoughts.    https://lnkd.in/eZ2qRPGX

At #MarketectureLive, Joshua Prismon, chief architect at Index, took the stage to share the latest insights from our #PrivacySandbox testing efforts at Index—and what comes next. We’ve continued to invest in Sandbox since our initial testing period last year. Since then, Sandbox-enabled traffic has continued to grow, climbing to 110% year over year. We’ve also partnered with more publishers and DSPs to test and released new support within our exchange. Josh shared three areas for improvement that we’ve identified through testing:  🎥 Stronger support for video formats  🤝 Improved support for deals  📈 Greater publisher adoption and overall participation Privacy Sandbox is a significant and complex solution. Continuing to evolve and improve it requires collaboration across the ecosystem and adoption of new industry standards and processes. See more of our testing insights here:  https://lnkd.in/esWbeVAF

Yesterday at Scope3's first Landscape conference, Index CEO Andrew Casale joined Scope3 CEO Brian O'Kelley to talk about a fundamental shift in programmatic: adding decisioning to the sell side. Why does this matter? Because every impression carries critical signals—and leveraging those earlier means better performance, more efficiency, and a more #sustainable path forward. With Scope3, we’ve co-developed a way to make advanced decisions before DSPs even see a bid request. This unlocks a future where bid requests are just as intelligent as the bids themselves. It’s a shift powered by #AI, deep metadata, and smarter programmatic infrastructure. This is just the beginning. Let’s make programmatic work smarter, faster, and better for everyone. Learn more about our partnership with Scope3 in this ADWEEK article by Kendra Barnetthttps://lnkd.in/ePNYi_UB
