On December 9th, the Latin America - Project Finance 2024 Conference brought together project sponsors, investors, and government agencies to discuss the future of energy, including renewables, hydrogen, and the energy transition. Among the highlights, Luis Eduardo Morales Vinces, our Senior Director – Investments, participated in a panel on how interest rates impact project funding, covering trends in investment and the role of ESG criteria in procurement decisions. Great News! We're proud to announce that 3 of our wind projects have been selected in BC Hydro's latest Request for Proposals (RFP) for new renewable energy generation! These projects, representing a combined gross capacity of 560 MW, highlight Innergex’s leadership as a leading independent power producer in British Columbia and our commitment to growing renewable energy in B.C. while supporting Indigenous communities. The selected projects include: -K2 Wind Project (160 MW): Co-developed with Westbank First Nation (51%). -Nithi Mountain Wind Project (200 MW): In partnership with Stellat’en First Nation (51%). -Stewart Creek Wind Project (200 MW): A collaboration with West Moberly First Nations (51%). This milestone showcases the power of strong partnerships and our shared vision for a cleaner future. Together, we are creating projects that deliver not only clean energy but also lasting economic and environmental benefits for the communities we serve. On est très fiers de soutenir le Cercle économique régional des Peuples autochtones et du Québec, un événement qui met de l’avant la collaboration et le dialogue pour bâtir des projets inclusifs et durables avec les communautés autochtones! Lors du banquet d’ouverture, notre président et chef de la direction Michel Letellier a souligné notre engagement à soutenir les communautés autochtones et à partager notre expertise en énergie renouvelable, tout en remerciant celles qui nous ont fait confiance. Pour sa part, notre directeur - Développement Luc Leblanc a participé à un panel inspirant sur la réconciliation économique et les projets inclusifs. Un événement enrichissant qui a permis d’échanger sur des initiatives porteuses avec les communautés autochtones.

Earlier this week, our own Nicola Vaughan, Strategist – Government Relations and Policy, joined an incredible panel at the 9th annual Energy Storage Canada Conference. We had a great experience at the Canadian Hydropower Week organized by WaterPower Canada | Hydroélectricité Canada. The event was a great opportunity to connect, explore new hydropower innovations, and exchange ideas. Our Director - Civil & Structural Engineering, Samuel Franklyn, participated in a panel on innovative strategies for rehabilitating small hydro, where experts shared insights on overcoming challenges and optimizing hydroelectric production.
