Apple has done it again! 👏 With just two weeks to go until the Paralympic Games, what better way to celebrate than by spending time with the incredible team at Apple, alongside advocates, athletes, leaders, and creators. Yesterday, we had the privilege of watching Apple’s newest film, "The Relay," which features eight athletes—four Disabled and four non-Disabled—competing in a four-stage relay race. What I love most about this film is it's authenticity and not just in the casting of the athletes but also in the competition itself, We had the chance to hear from Director Derek Cianfrance, Apple's Senior Director of Global Accessibility Sarah Herrlinger, and Jack a professional Para Athlete who stars in the film, They shared that the race was 100% real! The athletes were genuinely competing against each other, and the outcomes shown in the film are exactly how the competitions played out. So cool! It fits in nicely with the International Paralympic Committee’s new campaign where some of the world’s leading Paralympians declare that they are not simply “participating” in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games but “will be competing”—a reminder that Paralympian's have the same as fierce drive to win as Olympians.
