My friends and I give each other steak cakes for birthdays, so I'm pretty far from a plant-based diet (though I was on one many years ago). Regardless of my personal preferences, I'm a huge fan of consumer choice and market-based solutions to address environmental and health challenges. That's why I was excited to hear about Konscious Foods' work to create plant-based seafood options on our last pitch call. The plant-based food space in general has seen some slowdown recently with companies like Impossible and Beyond, but there's still a clear consumer demand for innovative alternatives. As someone who hasn't tried plant-based seafood yet, I'm looking forward to sampling Konscious' offerings at the upcoming Principled Business Summit in New York. From what I understand, they're the first company really tackling plant-based seafood in a meaningful way. I'm curious to hear what others in my network think - are you looking for more seafood alternatives? Have you tried any plant-based options that you've enjoyed?
