Congratulations to this year's 2024 recipient of the KPM Power Bursary, Oluwadabira! Earlier this month we were honoured to be able to present the KPM Power Bursary in-person. Thank you to the Lassonde School of Engineering - York University for hosting such a wonderful award ceremony. KPM Power aims to support equity-focused programming that will aid underrepresented groups in STEM; this includes removing financial barriers for students to study. They say for every 1 job in manufacturing, 3 jobs are created in other industries as a result. For Manufacturing Month, we'd like to acknowledge the key role we have in boosting demands for Canadian exports and, in effect, creating a ripple effect of innovation and employment opportunities throughout the country. As a Canadian Manufacturer in Etobicoke, we do our part in bringing manufacturing and jobs back to the GTA. Over the past year, we've significantly expanded our team and facilities in Ontario to meet growing demands for cleantech solutions, and we're proudly focused on hiring locally. Thank you to all the local manufacturers who keep our industry thriving and happy Manufacturing Month! 😊🍁 #ontariomade #manufacturingmonth #cleantech #torontomanufacturing #lithiumbattery #renewableenergy

Thank you so much to the Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women's Empowerment for attending our very first KPM Career Day! We created this event to introduce different STEM career paths at an earlier age and to provide some exposure to a workplace environment. It was wonderful meeting you all and we hope you enjoyed learning about LEAN manufacturing, quality control, binary codes and the various career paths this can lead you down! Also, a big thank you to our team members who hosted activities for the girls! We're grateful to have such a talented team to inspire the next generation.

We are honored to be hosting the Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women's Empowerment girls during Girls Empowerment Camp at the KPM Power Career Day at our office. We'll be highlighting our amazing team members to share a little about how they got here and showcase how STEM-related studies have lead them to careers at KPM Power. The afternoon is set up in a way to make it more than us just telling them about what we do, but getting them to participate in real life work activities to expose them to what we do. Also, thank you to Micah for the amazing coloring page! #STEM #KPMPower #campday #Careers #jeanaugustinecentre #summercamp #etobicoke #mimico #daycamp #artscamp #girlscamp #outdoorcamp #girlsempowerment #stem

We are thankful to once again take part in the k2i Bringing STEM to Life Symposium and meet all the wonderful students in this years program. k2i continues it's mission to tackle systemic obstacles hindering access to STEM opportunities for underrepresented youth. Making cultural shifts within the system drives k2i to offer undergraduate STEM students an opportunity to build their leadership skills, fostering deep expertise in equity and inclusion, and cultivating communities conducive to collaboration and professional networking. This summer over 500 students students participated in the program along with 200 undergraduates students have signed up to help, k2i also had the support of 20 high school teachers who helped co-create the physics initiatives the students work on. These transformative impacts of these experiences is evident in the lives of many, reshaping their future for the better. More about K2i’s programming and initiatives at https://lnkd.in/gmb4qySF
