PointClickCare Life Sciences has created an Alzheimer's Disease curated data set to provide pharmaceutical and biotech companies, government institutions, and independent researchers with all critical variables for a holistic patient journey into the diagnosed LTC resident. Of the 11+ Million lives available for study in our research data set, we curated 1.8M records containing signs, symptoms and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and/or dementia to create the first RWE dataset available, representing the majority of the LTC population in the United States. Our Alzheimer data set empowers daily insight into the patient’s journey spanning over 10+ years. Our comprehensive dataset encompasses a wide array of patient information, taking into account social determinants of health (SDOH) and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) factors. It includes data on patients diagnosed within and beyond our healthcare facilities, covering all associated comorbidities. We’ve integrated details on therapeutic interventions, patient adherence levels, and the resulting health outcomes. The collection boasts over 4.5 million functional assessments, more than 1.2 million Cognitive Performance Scale (CPS) evaluations tracking cognitive decline, and more than 15 million Brief Interview for Mental Status (BIMS) assessments. Additionally, it records daily nutritional intake, instances of potential agitation, and a wealth of other critical health indicators. Alzheimer’s and Dementia are complex diseases where multiple variables impact our understanding. We must ensure that healthcare organizations and researchers account for the risks associated with Alzheimer’s and Dementia to enhance the quality of life for patients, elevate care standards, and accelerate the development of new treatments. Major depression affects over 16 million American adults each year, and it's crucial to address this serious medical illness.
