Blossom Social Annual Social Event
This is my second time joining Blossom Social event. Last year I saw Brandon Beavis’ and Joyee’s posts about Blossom in IG in the thick of tax season. I haphazardly downloaded Blossom app and learned how to use it because I’ve been wanting to learn DIY investing for a long time.
When deciding on whether or not to attend Blossom social event, I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to understand any investing talk because I was a newbie, but I decided to go anyway. It was great! I learned new things and made new connections. 😊 It has been 2 years since I became a DIY investor and I’m proud to say that I have learned a few things - I have made some money and I have lost some as well. 😆
A few years ago, I asked a financial advisor on what return I should expect from the investment he managed for our family. He said 4%. Well, now that I learned DIY investing, I think it is possible to beat 4%, especially when I don’t pay myself any fees. 😊 Blossom app has helped me learn investing stuff by reading what others posts, by asking questions + receiving answers, and interacting with other fellow DIY investors. I can also see others’ real portfolio, that are connected to their brokerage accounts. 😮😁👍 You should check out Blossom app if you haven’t done so.
Anyhow, back to the social event. I had a chance to meet a lot of people IRL. Shay, Tracy, Brandon, Annika Ng, Tim, Joyee, Adrian, Maxwell Nicholson, BD, Alan, Vanessa and many more. I even met a fellow Indonesian - Kevin. Plus, there was a bonus a swag bag for everyone!
I have enjoyed learning about DIY investing and I enjoyed Blossom social events (twice now). 😊
Great job Blossom team! 👍🎊
