BC’s mining sector strongly supports efforts to protect transboundary watersheds through strict regulation, strengthened mining laws, and responsible mining. To reinforce this, MABC wrote to the Alaska Congressional Delegation to reaffirm our industry’s commitment to the long-term health of the region’s watersheds. British Columbia has a unique opportunity to deliver a critical minerals windfall, attracting private sector investment and securing jobs and economic benefits for decades to come. But this will only be possible if we accelerate permitting and approval processes.
