There are many options for birth control after childbirth—from short-term contraception to long-term or permanent options. Determining the right choice is hard—we have to weigh out factors like whether we want more children, whether or not we’re breastfeeding, and how our body responds to hormones.     This week on The Momwell Podcast, I’m joined by OB-GYN Dr. Fran Haydanek, founder of Paging Dr. Fran, to discuss how moms can make informed decisions about birth control after childbirth.     Read more or listen to Episode 246 with Dr. Fran at momwell.com/blog

If there’s one question I hear often from my mom clients it’s “How do I know if I’m done having babies?”     It’s a complicated question with an even more complicated answer!     We often search for a feeling of “doneness,” something that tells us we no longer want to have more children.     And some of us do reach that “done” moment. But for many of us, the decision just isn’t that straightforward.     That’s why it’s important to be able to have different birth control options, both short-term and long-term, while we work through the difficult decision.     This week on The Momwell Podcast, we’re diving into birth control options after having a baby with OB-GYN Dr. Fran Haydanek    To be one of the first notified when this episode drops, subscribe to The Momwell Podcast at momwell.com/listen

It’s time to stop holding moms to unreasonable standards!    We aren’t perfect.     We don’t have to be “supermoms.”     And we don’t need to feel ashamed when we make mistakes, take time for ourselves, or choose to do LESS.     Moms are good enough–without pushing themselves beyond their limits and neglecting their own needs.     If you find yourself feeling pressured to be more and experiencing guilt and shame when you feel like you aren’t doing enough, working with a mom therapist can help.     Find out if we serve your area and if we’re in-network for your insurance company—and book a FREE 15 minute consult at momwell.com/booking
