NeuroTracker is a Montreal-based neurotech company owned by Nothing Artificial, specializing in assessing and enhancing cognitive functions for human performance and wellness. The technology was developed by world-leading neuroscientist Professor Jocelyn Faubert, and has over 40 peer reviewed studies demonstrating its efficacy. Starting with Manchester United, NeuroTracker spread across elite sports in the NFL, NHL, EPL, NBA, and MLB, as well as elite military groups, F1 and eSports teams. NeuroTracker recently joined the Digital Therapeutics Alliance, and won partnership competitions with the US Airforce and Bayer. NeuroTracker is now established as a telehealth solution, allowing clients to train, monitor and manage any number of users at home or on the go. It is used widely by clinicians and therapists in the neurovision and rehabilitation markets.

Energy-Hungry: Although it only makes up about 2% of body weight, the brain uses roughly 20% of the body's energy—primarily to maintain and fuel neurons! 2. Electricity Factory: A single neuron can transmit up to 1,000 electrical impulses per second. 3. Second Brain: The gut is often called the "second brain" because it has around 100 million neurons that communicate closely with the brain. 4. Memory Capacity: The brain's storage capacity is estimated to be around 2.5 petabytes, equivalent to roughly 3 million hours of TV shows. 5. Rapid Thoughts: On average, the brain produces about 60,000 thoughts per day. 6. Synaptic Highways: Each neuron in the brain can form up to 10,000 connections with other neurons, creating trillions of synaptic connections. 7. Neurogenesis: we can grow new neurons throughout our lives. These baby neurons are called neuroblasts, which can migrate long distances to help regenerate injured brain regions. 8. Gender Differences: While male brains are on average 10% larger, female brains have more connections between the hemispheres, enhancing communication between areas that handle emotion and memory. 9. Smell and Memory Link: The brain’s olfactory bulb is directly linked to the hippocampus, the area responsible for memory. This is why smells can evoke vivid memories. 10. What is NeuroTracker (in 2 minutes)? Dr. Barbara Kleeb MD posed the question in our very pleasant chat on her new Polymath Perception Podcast (link in comments). Contemporary cognitive training technologies tend to isolate only very specific cognitive functions in order to measure or train them. However, this tends not to represent real-world performance abilities or needs very well. NeuroTracker is different in that, even though it is a visual task, the recipe it leverages for stimulating the brain triggers broad integration of many different systems (as shown in qEEG research). My take from studying 120+ independent research papers is that more neurotechs should utilize this type of methodology. Approaching the brain from a systems science perspective is likely to be more fruitful than from a purely reductionist perspective. The NeuroTracker team is excited to announce $2m funding by Brain Canada and CQDM for a frontier concussion research project. The project will use advanced neuroimaging, biomarker and NeuroTracker baseline assessments to sensitively reveal the long-term effects of brain injuries. This will be followed by a therapeutic NeuroTracker training intervention to investigate if such effects can be managed or reversed. The project is a collaboration with leading concussion experts at the Faubert Lab at the Université de Montréal and the University of Victoria in Canada.
