    💔 Outpost379 has been working for the past few months without a core piece of our heart.   A few months ago our beloved colleague and partner Diana Freeman shared her diagnosis, and has since been focusing on kicking cancer’s butt.   She has been incredibly strong, and a true inspiration to so many of us in our day-to-day work making health more human. So much so, that last week at the Peterborough Canadian Cancer Society Run for the Cure, Outpost was out in force! We are proud not only for the money that we raised for this worthy cause, but also that we took home the annual corporate spirit award! Until you’re back at the Outpost, Diana Freeman, this one is for you.

    ✨ Making Health—Human ✨   What does this mean to us?   Our agency exists to empower and inspire healthier living. But health isn’t just some abstract goal—It’s a personal journey. And it’s experienced differently by each of us along with all of our needs, emotions, and the complexities that life throws at us. Our mission is to support people on these journeys. This work spans patients, doctors, and everyday folks, as well as the brands and causes that help along the way.   We know that health is more than just the latest data, technology, or clinical studies (though we love those too!). It exists in the people behind the numbers, and in understanding the problems they face, their goals, their stories. Our job is to find these human insights behind our clients' business challenges, and then deliver campaigns and tools that resonate, build trust, and solve real problems.   Being human means being complex. It means embracing both the messiness and beauty of life. So, when we talk about making health “human,” we’re talking about finding that sweet spot where empathy and evidence intersect.     Bang on Nicole Watts! This isn’t CPG or any other vertical. This is medicine. I know many HCPs are actively turned off when things get too flashy or overly promotional. At the same time, there’s the data for what HCPs WANT and there’s the data for what WORKS from a marketing perspective. Always a bit of a balance! I think ultimately they (like all of us) want something clear and honest that simplifies their lives, not adds to the noise. As Paul Hickey would say: “Doctors are people too.”
