Day and night at the Royal De Versailles' Rolex Boutique.   The storefront we designed for Royal De Versailles Jewellers Rolex Boutique has been recognized by numerous awards and the press since its unveiling in 2024. The Royal De Versailles’ Rolex boutique occupies the ground level of a modernist high-rise along the city’s sought-after shopping strip, Bloor Street.     Embodying the high-precision and craftsmanship of the timepieces, the façade emulates forms of watch geometries while taking cues from the original 1970 building. The suspense has been killing us, but we’re thrilled to finally unveil The Hearn District.    Together with our collaborators, we are reimagining this historic landmark into a multi-use district that will serve as a new addition to Toronto’s Waterfront. #throwback to The Hearn, 9 years ago, at the 2016 Luminato Festival. Extending our relationship with The Hearn and Luminato, we participated in the 2016 Luminato Festival Toronto held at The Hearn as lead designers. Our role was to work with the City’s Economic Development and building officials, allowing for the temporarily repurposing of the building into a vibrant venue for performances, art installations, and meaningful conversations. In 2015, PARTISANS and its Co-Founder Alexander Josephson supported an early fundraiser for a special event at a special place: The Hearn, a decommissioned power plant twice the size of the Tate Modern, located in Toronto’s Port Lands. We were grateful to be part of the team that brought the Luminato Festival Toronto to The Hearn in 2016 (more exciting info to come with the new development!). Thanks to the visionaries at Cortel, Jörn Weisbrodt, and the City of Toronto, we were able to create a significant moment in the collective history of our city. We are thrilled to share a #wip project that has been slowly coming to life over the past two years, with construction now underway on the dock. The Boathouse celebrates the transitions of Canadian lake life through an innovative architectural interpretation of lakeside lifestyle and pastimes. The aerodynamic silhouette evokes the curvature of a sail catching the wind, and the rich vegetation of the natural landscape informs the organic interior. Clad in stainless steel, it houses wellness facilities including a gym and sauna. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project. #partisans #canadianarchitecture #organicarchitecture
