Better Data for Better Decisions
About us
PhotoSat is a technology company that produces geospatial data from satellite imagery, using proprietary deep learning algorithms. We passionately believe that better data leads to better decisions, and it is our mission to support safe and responsible projects around the world. Our elevation surveys enable engineers in the operations, planning, design, and development of infrastructure and resource development projects. Our alteration mineral maps and regional topography provide geologists with the unique data required to plan and execute regional or property-scale exploration programs. PhotoSat has delivered 2000+ elevation surveys and 300+ alteration maps for projects in more than 75 countries worldwide. Our multi-disciplinary team counts geophysicists, engineers, associated geoscientists, and other business professionals among its ranks. With this combined expertise and experience, we create reliable, time-saving solutions for major resource development and infrastructure projects.

We will attend #EXPOSIBRAM2024 at EXPOMINAS in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, from September 9 to 12. Our team, Pedro Cartaxo and Arthur Teixeira, will be there to showcase our technology and answer any questions you might have. We look forward to seeing you there! . . . . #tailingsmanagement #geospatialdata #satelliteimagery

Accurate contour lines are crucial for effective management of mine sites and tailings facilities. PhotoSat's #satellite elevation surveys provide detailed topographic data, capturing the complexities of your mine site to enhance layout planning, haul road design, and stability assessments. This data supports mine engineers in optimizing site operations, reducing risks, and improving safety and efficiency. Contour Lines are delivered in all PhotoSat survey packages, available in 50 cm, 1m, 5m, 10m, or custom intervals. Integrating data from multiple sources can introduce errors and offsets that may affect survey reliability. #Satellite surveying captures the entire site in a single pass, reducing the risks associated with merging smaller data sets over time, which can result in propagated offsets. Capturing site-wide data allows for a comprehensive and precise measurement of accuracy over the entire mine site by comparing all existing ground data and previous surveys in unchanged areas with the new PhotoSat elevation survey. The Geology Enhanced orthophoto for the Filo del Sol region, created by combining two VNIR bands with a SWIR band, reveals subtle lithology and alteration changes not discernable in the Colour and Greyscale images. These orthophotos are delivered as part of the Context Images in our standard Property Scale Alteration Mapping package. The newly defined Vicuña metallogenic belt, straddling the border of Chile and Argentina, includes emerging world-class porphyry-epithermal deposits such as Filo del Sol, Josemaria, Lunahuasi, Los Helados, and Caserones. Slide through the images to view the high-resolution WorldView-3 alteration map below, produced using our proprietary deep-learning algorithms, showing the alteration associated with the Filo del Sol and Lunahuasi deposits. Red to blue represents a probable to possible response for each identified mineral. These images are all produced as part of our standard Property-scale Alteration Mapping package. Located on the border of Chile and Argentina, Filo del Sol is an interesting property for WorldView-3 alteration mapping, having had multiple phases of telescoping porphyry and high-sulfidation mineralization and alteration preserved at surface. The distribution of opal and buddingtonite shows the tightest correlation with the mineralization. Take a look at the compilation maps below. When planning exploration programs, #geologists often consider the zonation of alteration minerals within a property. Below is the distribution of silica, sericite, chlorite, alunite, and kaolinite near the Filo del Sol deposit.
