About us
Plains Midstream Canada is a subsidiary of Plains All American Pipeline L.P., a publicly traded master limited partnership with headquarters in Houston, Texas. Plains All American Pipeline L.P. trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “PAA.” In 2001, Plains All American Pipeline acquired the Canadian crude oil pipeline, gathering, storage and terminalling assets of Murphy Oil Company Ltd., as well as the assets of CANPET Energy Group, Inc., a privately held Calgary-based Canadian crude oil and LPG marketing company. These assets, that began operating as Plains Marketing Canada, L.P., now operate under the Plains Midstream Canada banner. The combination of these assets provided a solid foundation for growth in Canada and today Plains Midstream Canada has established a solid and growing presence in the midstream oil and LPG businesses —operating and conducting business in five Canadian provinces and more than 40 U.S. states. Plains Midstream Canada provides solutions to logistical challenges in the crude oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) businesses. Plains Midstream’s goal is to provide value-added transportation, gathering, marketing, storage and terminalling services to its customers by combining the company’s strategically located assets with its extensive marketing and distribution expertise.

Today we observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a time for learning and reflecting on the impact of residential schools on Indigenous communities. At Plains, we are committed to learning, supporting, and working alongside Indigenous peoples toward a future of healing and reconciliation. 🧡 This year, Plains supported the Sakimay First Nation (Zagime) with a donation to the “Mino Ayawikamik” project, promoting cultural reconnection through medicinal plant searches and healing initiatives. 🤝 Our team also served nearly 600 meals at Regina’s Thomson School, strengthening ties within the community and addressing key challenges like hunger and poverty among Indigenous students. 🌿 We continue to engage Indigenous communities across Canada to protect culturally sensitive areas during our projects through collaborative consultation and rerouting efforts. By fostering relationships built on respect, trust, and shared responsibility, we honour the sovereignty and culture of Indigenous peoples. Let’s continue to listen, learn, and take meaningful steps toward reconciliation. #NDTR #EveryChildMatters #TruthAndReconciliation #IndigenousRights #CommunityEngagement

Plains was honored to support Camp Molly, the first event of its kind in Western Canada! It pays tribute to the first female firefighter on record in North America, Molly Williams, and its goal is to show young women that a career in the fire service is a viable and rewarding option. The dedication and enthusiasm of the instructors, female students, and volunteers were truly inspiring. We had the pleasure of meeting two Camp Molly Board members, Don Carter, VP, and Natasha Carter, as well as Deputy Chief Matthieu Theriault and Lieutenant Krista Bull from the White City Fire Department, among many others. Their commitment and excitement were evident in every aspect of the camp. We also had the honour of attending the Camp Molly graduation, a memorable event for the proud parents and enthusiastic graduates. Camp Molly will undoubtedly impact the participants' lives and may even inspire future careers in the emergency responder field. What an incredible experience for everyone involved!

We are proud to share that Plains volunteers dedicated 120 hours to constructing seven beaver dam analogues (BDAs) at King Bolt Creek as part of Trout Unlimited Canada's Cutthroat in Porcupine Hills Environmental Rehabilitation (CIPHER) Project. BDAs mimic natural beaver dams, creating upstream pools that slow stream flow, increase fish habitat, and enhance water storage both on the surface and underground. These efforts are crucial for protecting the landscape from the impacts of drought, fires, and habitat loss. Our volunteers' hard work helps improve fish habitats and strengthen the landscape to withstand environmental challenges. Thank you to all the volunteers for your incredible contribution and dedication. Your efforts truly make a difference and are our success! #CommunitySupport #EnvironmentalStewardship #VolunteerImpact #HabitatRestoration
