🔹 Introducing Dr. Jocelyn Peltier-Huntley 🔹 Excited to share more about Dr. Jocelyn Peltier-Huntley—a dedicated leader in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and a professional mechanical engineer with nearly 20 years of experience driving change. After 13 years working in technical and leadership roles in Canadian mining and mineral processing, Jocelyn pivoted to focus on EDI research, facilitation, public speaking, and consulting. Her Ph.D. project, Activating Allies, explored how to foster inclusive workplace cultures by equipping individuals and organizations with the tools to become active allies. Jocelyn was named a YWCA Saskatoon Woman of Distinction in STEM (2024) and recognized by Engineers Canada as an EDI Champion (2022). As the Chair of Women in Mining and Women in Nuclear Saskatchewan, she is committed to advancing inclusion and leadership in mining and nuclear industries. Through Prairie Catalyst Consulting, Jocelyn works to create awareness, remove roadblocks, and empower organizations to build more inclusive workplaces. This week marks the start of the Active Allies Winter 2025 cohort! Active Allies supports busy leaders, employees, and professionals with understanding their role in equity, diversity, and inclusion and Truth and Reconciliation in their workplaces. Active Allies participants gain clarity on their personal motivation to support a variety of equity-deserving groups — including women, Indigenous peoples, radicalized persons, persons with disabilities, 2SLGBTQIA+ people and more — engage more frequently and confidently in workplace conversations around equity, diversity, and inclusion, and Truth and Reconciliation, and enhance a variety of allyship skills. As we close 2024, I'm filled with gratitude for a year of completing our goals and embarking on new adventures at Prairie Catalyst. Shifting from being a part-time business owner to being a full-time business owner became a reality when I successfully defended my Ph.D.!
