Celebrating Respiratory Therapy Week! They provide support in the ICU, CSICU, CICU, and the ED, managing ventilators and life-saving respiratory therapies, and are always ready to assist with high-risk deliveries in the OR. We want to recognize and appreciate the hard work, expertise, and dedication of our RTs. Their contributions are essential to patient care and make a real difference every day. If you’re interested in joining our Respiratory Therapy team, we have positions available for full-time, part-time, casual roles, and even student opportunities. This week, we’re excited to introduce Jen Cataquiz, who has been at Providence Health Care for the past five years, two years ago Jen has became a Chemotherapy Clinical Resource Nurse. Jen describes her role as providing vital support to chemo nurses, creating educational resources for staff and patients, and collaborating with her team to ensure smooth chemotherapy workflows. Her favorite part of the job? Building respectful and trusting relationships with the incredible, resilient patients she serves. Jen chose Providence for its commitment to compassion, inclusion, and social justice, and she’s proud to be part of an organization that delivers exceptional patient-centered care. If she weren’t in her current role, she might have pursued a career as a chemist. One way Jen and her team are innovating at PHC is through the creation of the anti-nausea cart, which offers non-pharmacological options like ginger ale and teas to help chemo patients manage nausea. They also started a tradition of giving completion of therapy gift bags to patients who finish their chemotherapy cycles, celebrating their courage and strength. We’re grateful to have Jen on our team, making a positive impact every day! 🌟 #MeetAndGreet #PHCStaffSpotlight #NursingCareers
