✨ 🎄 Holiday lights are back at Robson Square, Vancouver! 🎥 We love this festive footage by pro videographer David Geary. Did you know RJC worked on structural engineering behind the cables? 👷♂️ 💡 Between Howe & Hornby Street, these cables attach to poles that help support lights & seasonal décor. ☝️ RJCers calculated forces from the cables to their light poles. This made it possible to determine the amount of counterweight needed for the iconic canopy structure. 🙌 Stop by & see it for yourself until February 2025! 👷♀️ RJCers on the Project: Camilo Granda Valencia, Carmen Chun, Shahryar Davoudi & Zhen (Michael) Liang #structuralengineering #engineeringconsultants #engineeringfirm #engineeringproject #vancouverbc #downtownvancouver #holidaylights

Creative Thinking, Practical Results
About us
We are on a mission to futureproof Canada, one project at a time. From changing your city's skyline to restoring heritage, we have been engineering vibrant spaces for more than seven decades. Our impact includes buzzworthy projects in structural engineering, restoration, and glass design. We are equally enthusiastic about building science, building energy modelling, and state-of-the-art parking garage design. You may have heard of our work from headline-grabbing projects like the BMO Centre Expansion, CIBC SQUARE, The Stack, M City Condos, St. Andrew’s Wesley United Church Restoration and The Well, to name a few. These projects are made possible because our engineers have a reputation for thinking ahead. Bridging sustainability and innovation, we are proud when we deliver designs that challenge the status quo. With offices across Canada, and a growing presence in the U.S., our clients get the ‘RJC advantage’ with personal attention from senior-level engineers who know the challenges of their local neighbourhoods first-hand. We believe that an elevated space for the community trickles down to an elevated lifestyle. For us, every project is a new chance to make connections, while serving the communities we belong to by injecting fresh designs into the spaces they will use every day.

Introducing The Parks: 1,000+ apartments coming to Edmonton 🏙️ 🙌 On the corner of Jasper Ave. & 108 Street, this mixed-use project will feature two apartment towers. 🛠️ They will be connected by a 13-storey podium with a rooftop garden. The main floor will house commercial space, plus a convenient indoor connection to Corona LRT station. 🚧 Construction is well under way! 🚧 RJC’s Edmonton crew brings the project to life with services in structural engineering & building envelope commissioning. Phase I, the 35-storey tower, is already complete. The next two phases will mean construction on the podium space & then the larger 45-storey tower. Stay tuned for more exciting updates. 🤝 Partners: DIALOG, Hariri Pontarini Architects, Maclab Development Group & Pangman Development Corporation 🎥 @sameer.pictures on Instagram #edmontonalberta #structuralengineers #buildingscience #mixedusedevelopment #engineeringconsultants #albertacanada

The Departures Roadway is officially open! With more than 91,000 working hours invested, we're incredibly grateful to the dedicated teams at YEG, PCL Construction and RJC Engineers who made it all possible - and, of course, to our amazing passengers for your patience and support. Over the past 13 months, we've made important infrastructure upgrades, added new safety features, improved accessibility, made aesthetic improvements and expanded traffic flow with a two-lane exit ramp. The ONE is Canada's tallest building & first-ever 'supertall' tower. 🏙️ 🏗️ Reaching 1,005 feet into the sky, it's a new landmark. 📸 Shoutout to Toronto RJCers Cora Pulnicki, Daniel Snodgrass & Jiahao (Laurence) Yin for capturing their latest site visit! At the bustling corner of Yonge & Bloor, this luxury collection will bring many storeys of high-rise condos & penthouses, all centered on prime retail space. Did you know the creative 100x100-foot space has NO interior or corner columns?! The ONE's soaring 37-foot ceilings show off its unique structural system & inclined struts. 💡 Fun fact: The tower's column-free corners are made possible with structural diagonals along its architectural façade.
