About us

Located in the Province of New Brunswick, Port Saint John is Atlantic Canada's largest seaport by volume of cargo handled, and fastest growing container port on the Eastern Seaboard of North America. With an average of 28 million metric tonnes of cargo annually, Port Saint John is one of Canada's key ports recognized for its strategic importance to the nation's trade and economy. We acknowledge that the lands and waters on which Port Saint John and its partners operate are situated the traditional and unceded territory of the Wolastoqey, the Mi'Kmaq, and Passamaquoddy Nations who signed Treaties of Peace and Friendship with the British crown in the 1700s. These treaties protect their rights to land and resources and are affirmed in Section 35 of the Canadian Constitution. At Port Saint John, our commitment to truth and reconciliation and the actions that will result from this are based on a foundational respect for First Nations culture and heritage and a desire to engage in meaningful relationships. Through our focus on people, we serve as connectors who find innovative solutions to create economic and social value. By building partnerships, we provide a platform for prosperity and sustainability.

This fall, new asphalt at the Port's container terminal marks the beginning of the end of our decade-long West Side Modernization & Enhanced Modernization Projects. Paving is the final step in creating 18 acres of additional laydown area, making room for more containers and greater prosperity for our region. These infrastructure investments, made possible by our government funding partners, have already sparked growth in the container sector and continue to attract hundreds of millions in private sector investment to Saint John. #PortModernization #InfrastructureInvestment #CityofSaintJohn #EconomicGrowth #ContainerTerminal #Logistics #SupplyChain #RegionalDevelopment #ContainerGrowth #WestSideProject #PortSaintJohn #importingprosperity #DPWORLD

Thank you to Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. for hosting members of our Port Saint John Community Liaison Committee on board Norwegian Breakaway during her call to Saint John today. This was a great chance for members of the committee to get an up-close-and-personal experience with the cruise sector here in Saint John. Big thanks to Sandra Weir of NCL who was one of our speakers at Port Days earlier this year on the topic of sustainability both on the environmental front and in engaging with communities in which NCL ships call. Having industry partners like Sandy and NCL go a long way to helping engage with our local community to raise awareness and understanding about port operations. #wearecruise #sustainability #community #engagement Anthony Dickinson, Gillian Palmer, Nicola Bustin, Tamara Kelly (she/her), Mary LeSage, Roxanne MacKinnon, Nancy Tissington LPM, Olivia DesRoches 🌱, Robert Powell

Director of Cruise Excellence - Port Saint John, Canada

Huge thank you to Princess Cruises for assisting with hosting the entire class & faculty of the new NBCC Hospitality & Tourism Management Program for a “Cruise Day” at Port Saint John. We started with a presentation on cruise tourism, followed by a walking tour and observation of active operations in our terminals and then - the best part - an awesome ship tour onboard Enchanted Princess! The students got to experience the beautiful public spaces, as well as the recycling center and the bridge to meet the Captain! A truly memorable & inspiring experience for these students who aspire to work in the industry! Looking forward to continued future collaboration with this NBCC program. Thanks again Princess for being an integral part of this very special day! NBCC (New Brunswick Community College) #LovePrincess #WeAreCruise #MyNBCC

🌊Port Saint John operates on the traditional and unceded territory of the Wolastoqey, the Mi'Kmaq, and Peskotomuhkati Nations. 🌿On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we’re reflecting on the actions we continue to take in our reconciliation journey: providing learning opportunities for staff, adding greater Indigenous cultural representation on our waterfront, and furthering our workplace inclusion and procurement. 🌍On September 30th, we encourage our community to pause, reflect, and join others at Rockwood Park for a Healing Walk beginning at 1 pm: https://lnkd.in/eJPBbPVf -------- 🌊Port Saint John opère sur le territoire traditionnel et non cédé des nations Wolastoqey, Mi'Kmaq et Peskotomuhkati.
