About us
Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Winnipeg Chapter - is a group of volunteers dedicated to building and delivering handmade beds; mattresses and bedding to local children. We are committed to building our community by partnering with Manitoba organizations, to get our children off the floor and create a sense of worth and dignity for families most in need. We are a national organization tackling a national problem - as many as 2% of Canada’s children sleep on the floor and we aim to change that. Our goal is that NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!

Have you heard? Manitoba Blue Cross is celebrating their 50th anniversary and in honour they have kicked off their #50years50beds campaign - celebrating 50 years and building 50 beds for Winnipeg children in need! 🙌 Starting with a $15,000 donation - which will be used for supplies for our corporate bed build event in June, at Blue Cross Park - home to the Winnipeg Goldeyes! ⚾️ 🛠️🔩🛏️ PLUS, they're collecting donations for us - new twin-size bedding, new comforters and new pillows- between now and June 18th in their lobby at 599 Empress St. in Winnipeg, Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 4 PM.
