Last Friday, the Environment Program team at the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, in collaboration with the Commission de coopération environnementale, the North American Youth Parliament for Water, and ISW gathered to hear the elevated pitches from the ten laureates of the second group of Youth Akwesasronon projects. ✨ These initiatives aim to conserve biodiversity and adapt to climate change as part of the "Preserving Akwesasne Native Biodiversity for the Future" project, funded by CEC. 🌿 The event coincided with the celebration of the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, a day to honor Indigenous communities worldwide. 🌎 #Akwesasne #Mohawk #Decolonization #Indigenous #FirstNations #Environment #Biodiversity #ClimateChange
