Cet événement rassemble autorités locales, organisations internationales et communautés pour explorer le rôle de l'eau dans la cohésion sociale et la paix, notamment en lien avec l'accueil des réfugiés au Hodh Chargui. Face à l'impact des conflits intercommunautaires sur la stabilité régionale, l'IPAR, le CEROS et le Geneva Water Hub soutiennent les autorités mauritaniennes pour renforcer la cohésion sociale par une gestion communautaire apaisée des points d'eau. Leur démarche repose sur les savoirs locaux pour faire de l'eau un outil de coopération, en apportant des solutions durables, en responsabilisant les usagers, et en renforçant les liens entre communautés hôtes et réfugiées.
