🔥🐾 During wildfire season, it's important not to forget about your pets! Prepare a pet emergency kit for them in advance that is stocked with food, water, toys, bedding, and any medications they might need. A little preparation can make a big difference! If the air quality is poor, keep them indoors as much as possible and keep windows shut. Avoid rigorous exercise. Ensure their identification and microchip information is up to date, just in case. #WildfireSeason #EmergencyPreparedness #WildfireSafety

It's National Dog Day (Aug. 26, 2024)! Let’s take a moment to appreciate the positive impact dogs make in so many lives. At CMH, we are grateful that our patients have access to therapy dogs from St. John Ambulance Ontario that provide support during their healing journey. Additionally, staff, medical professionals, and volunteers can enjoy the company provided by Ember, CMH's facility dog and the first NSD-accredited hospital facility dog in Canada. CMH is grateful to have a wonderful relationship with National Service Dogs and the St. John Ambulance Pet Therapy Program volunteers, and for their support in helping make these talented dogs bring so much joy to CMH. #ourcmh #ServiceDogs #TherapyDogs 📸 Pictured here are these furry friends on duty with their handlers (left to right): Ember, Frost, Phoebe, Storm, and Honey.
