  • 🌟  Employee and Family Appreciation Day Recap! 🌟 An incredible time was had at Stelco’s Employee and Family Appreciation Day on Saturday, September 21! It was a day filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories.  Families had the unique opportunity to choose between two exciting locations for their tour: Hamilton Works or Lake Erie Works. At Hamilton Works, employees and their families enjoyed an exclusive tour through the heart of Stelco's operations, getting an up-close look at the facilities. The tour guides shared fascinating facts and trivia about each operation, making the experience both educational and entertaining.  Meanwhile, at Lake Erie Works, families were treated to a similar engaging tour, showcasing the impressive operations and providing insights into the workings of the facility. Both locations offered a fantastic glimpse into Stelco's industrial prowess and commitment to excellence.  After the tours, everyone was invited to Tim Hortons Field for a day packed with activities. From a delicious BBQ to sporty surprises like soccer and flag football, there was something for everyone. The kids had a blast on the bouncy games and inflatables, while the adults enjoyed the photo booth and learning more about Stelco products. We were also grateful to celebrate the day with some members of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club who signed autographs for kids of all ages! 🏈 A big thank you goes out to all the volunteers and organizers who made this event possible. Their hard work and dedication ensured that everyone had a fantastic time! 🎉

  • Stelco was a major sponsor at this year's Epic Jobs Job Fair 2024! Our team was engaging with the bright young minds of tomorrow and showcasing the dynamic and rewarding career paths available in the steel industry. It was inspiring to see over 2,400 Grade 7 and 8 students from the Grand Erie region exploring potential futures in trades and technology. Stelco is committed to nurturing the next generation of skilled professionals and this event was a perfect opportunity to connect with them. By providing hands-on experiences and opening discussions about the vast possibilities in the industry, Stelco is not just filling immediate job openings but is investing in a sustainable and innovative future for all. A big thank you to the Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie, and all the other partners for making this event a success! #Stelco #EpicJobs #FutureOfWork #SkilledTrades #Powerengineering #Manufacturing

  • This Holiday Season, we are proud to share that Stelco has participated in giving back to our community in various ways. Our employees volunteered to pack lunches for Food4Kids Ontario, a local organization that provides healthy food for children in need. We also collected and donated non perishable food items, toys and hygiene items to help those in our local communities including Salvation Army, Hamilton Out of the Cold and CityKidz Hamilton.    We are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference and spread some warmth and joy this season.
