Happy St Regis Community Care Kit Day! 🎒📚✏️🖍️ Today, we packed a total of 500 backpacks filled with binders, folders, pencil cases, pens, pencil crayons, rulers and water bottles. We are honored to be donating these school-supply-filled backpacks to 3 incredible organizations this year: Horizons for Youth, 360 kids, and the Toronto District School Board! We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Angela Spadafora from Horizons for Youth for being our guest speaker! With utmost appreciation, St Regis presented Horizons for Youth with a Community Service award for their unwavering commitment to empowering and transforming the lives of homeless and at-risk youth in Toronto. To learn more about Horizons for Youth, please visit www.horizonsforyouth.org The St Regis Community Care Kit Program is an annual initiative that supports underprivileged youth. We donate product, purchase essential items, and have our wonderful staff volunteers pack back-to-school goodies for youth in the Greater Toronto Area! A huge thank you to everyone that participated in today's successful event!

Knowing what people will USE that just happens to have a logo on it is my, "Claim To Fame"

🌊♻️ Introducing the Brew Flask Ocean Bottle - 12oz! The reusable bottle that’s on a mission to save the ocean, one sip at a time. For every bottle sold, Ocean Bottle funds the collection of 11.4 kg of ocean-bound plastic (that's like removing 1,000 plastic bottles!). 🌍💧 But wait, there’s more! Our barista-approved brew flasks are perfect for iced coffee lovers. Unlike other cups, they won't leak or sweat in your bag and are 100% dishwasher safe. With double-wall vacuum insulation, your ice stays solid all day, and the 360° lid lets you savor every coffee aroma with every sip. So thrilled to have been part of the Women's Leadership Conference! I had the honor of speaking on a panel discussion featuring incredible Women from the PPAI 100 list. ⚡️ I was asked, “how do you balance what you see as the future in sustainability while also providing products needed by the industry today?” My honest answer: I struggle with this balance everyday. I am a passionate sustainability advocate yet I represent an industry that pushes endless amounts of consumer goods for people that didn’t ask for it. Where I land is knowing that this industry is changing and I get to be a part of that change. We are in era of a radically evolving consumer; people want to work with and buy from purpose-lead companies. The days of providing a trinket with a logo are fading. Modern companies are now using purpose-led merch to continue the story of their mission-driven business. It’s an exciting, necessary, and impactful transformation, and I am so proud to be a part of St Regis, a supplier that is embracing that change! My #1 advice to those in corporate sustainability: get comfortable being uncomfortable. Change is hard and doesn’t happen overnight. Be patient with expectations and celebrate every win, big or small. Thank you to everyone for your enthusiasm and positive feedback from our session! It was humbling to hear how my insights resonated with so many leaders in our evolving industry 💚 #leaders #womeninbusiness #sustainability Big shout out to Jodie Schillinger, MAS Lori Bauer and Latisha Marshall! 💥

Account Manager at Genumark | Promotional Products & Branding Expert | Making your brand stand out!

After 20+ years in the industry I’m still amazed by the innovative products that continue to emerge! 🌟 Today I received a #Genumark Sales Award. What makes it even more special is its stunning design and sustainable craftsmanship – a true reflection of our company’s values. At first glance I assumed it was crafted from stone…but it’s much more unique than that! Single use plastic bags - a difficult material to recycle ♻️ - were melted together to create large “plastic plates” that give a stunning marble effect! A huge thank you to our fantastic team, my loyal clients and our incredible and innovative suppliers! If your company is looking for sustainable items to promote your brand or award your team there are so many options to choose from. I can help you find that perfect fit! #Sustainability #SalesAward #Gratitude #promotionalmerchandise #innovative

I continue to learn more about how we can better protect our environment. Composting is now part of what our trash service in Southern California requires to comply with new environmental standards. It's all new to me, and I'm sure to many others. Brianna Mazze, EP, from St Regis, shared excellent information on composting and biodegradable plastics on our new Branded Merch Network Community page. There is detailed information here that we can all learn from. Your thoughts on this are welcome. #composting #sustainbility #biodegradableplastics

“Compostable & Biodegradable Plastics” ** Are they really compostable? ** ❗️Problem #1: Access 27% of Americans have access to a compost facility; 3% have a municipal program 91% of Canadians have access and 71% have curbside pick up ❗️Problem #2: Acceptability The majority of certified compostable plastics are not accepted or processed at composting facilities. For example, all organic waste programs in Ontario do not accept any form of compostable plastic. OR, if they do accept it (pet waste bags) it’s sorted out at the facility anyways. ❗️Problem # 3: Certifications are Not Reliable When I spoke with my local organic waste facilities, they all indicated that the certified plastics they receive are not composting in the timeframes required to be considered “composted material” for resale. ❗️Problem #4: Microplastics are Not Fully Understood Even if a municipality accepts and processes a compostable plastic, trace amounts are almost always present. Our local farmers are using that soil. The full extent of how microplastics are affecting our health is not fully understood yet. (Cue the “Have you or a loved one been affected by microplastics, you may be able to file a personal injury claim” commercials in a few years) ❗️Problem #5: Misinformation is RAMPANT Information around what is and is not compostable is so unreliable and straight up wrong, it’s impossible to expect consumers to know what to do with their waste. ✅ WHAT NEXT? Be cautious with bioplastics and avoid generic claims about end of life. Both the environmental impact and the waste options for bioplastics are super subjective and nuanced. ✅ Not sure what’s compostable in your area? If in doubt, find out. Check out your county’s waste management program. 🌱 follow me on instagram for more info: @esg_bri 🌱

ST REGIS 2023 IMPACT REPORT 🌎 I am so proud of the progress we are making at St Regis to advance the sustainability movement—both internally and externally! This Impact Report highlights our initiatives while educating along the way. Sustainability means transparency, and St Regis is more than happy to share where we’re at and why, sharing our successes and challenges. We are continuing to develop a Scope 1 & 2 reduction target (without the use of carbon offsets) that looks at our carbon footprint holistically and long term by decarbonizing operations. Being sustainable is profitable and impactful! P.S. Yes, I wore a giant, inflatable earth to get people excited about Earth Day! Make sustainability fun 💚 Link to Report: https://lnkd.in/gk6x5unP Photo Description: (1) Front page of Impact Report, (2) QR code and URL for Impact Report, (3) Me in an Earth costume holding 100% recycled corrugate. #earthday #everyday 🌱
