We are so proud to have taken part in the Canadian Stewardship Conference; a biennial event and must-attend for anyone in the stewardship industry including government policymakers, business leaders, and innovators. The Beer Store's stewardship team attended the two-day conference at the Fairmont Royal York, Toronto, as a gold sponsor. A sold-out event with nearly 500 attendees, Rachel Morier, Director of Sustainability, was one of the panelists to discuss our world class deposit-refund systems. Rachel shared how The Beer Store is a unique model in Ontario, providing exceptional performance and service to all Ontarians, and showcasing our core value of sustainability leadership. This September 30th, as we observe the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, we proudly reaffirm our partnership with the The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF). Since 2022, we’ve raised a total of $95,345.89 to support their vital work in fostering dialogue, raising awareness, and facilitating meaningful actions towards reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. We believe that only through education and awareness can we move towards reconciliation and build a better Canada for all. To further your understanding and commitment, we encourage you to join one of the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation’s lunch-and-learn webinars. These sessions are designed to help Canadians learn and unlearn the true history of Indigenous peoples in Canada, offering insights that are crucial for moving forward on the path to reconciliation. This October, from the 14th to the 27th, we will once again be collecting donations at all retail sites across Ontario to benefit Secret Path Week. For generations, the beer run has represented more than just picking up beer; it's a true reflection of our commitment to cold and fresh beer, the “in and out” experience and of course, sustainability. We’re excited to announce the launch of our new brand campaign, “More Than a Beer Run.” This campaign celebrates what makes the beer run to The Beer Store special. Ever wonder about our process behind making beertails? These recipes (and so much more) come to life in collaboration with Tavanberg, our content and social agency. Here's our successful process: 1. Ideation: Our teams collaborate and come up with deliciously enticing beertail recipe concepts. 2. Recipe development and testing: We work with talented recipe developers who source the best ingredients and then create and test the recipes to ensure our ideas turn into easy-to-execute (and delicious) recipes our audience will love. 3. Production: We work with the agency's art team (shout out to Made by Emblem) to shoot the recipe's lively, fun and thumb-stopping photos and videos. This past weekend, our BProud ERG team celebrated Pride Hamilton at Pier 4, an event filled with community, love and respect. The stunning backdrop of Lake Ontario created the perfect setting for a day filled with empowerment, energy, and incredible live performances.
