  • Canada's productivity is slowing down despite record-high immigration of educated talent in 2023. ...and it's hurting living standards and wage growth across the country. While Canada excels at attracting global talent, existing systems fail to assess, recognize and match this talent to labour market opportunities. In fact, over 25% of newcomers with foreign degrees work in roles beneath their qualifications, twice the rate of Canadian-born workers. We dug deeper to find out why.
