Cities are where we call home. We know they’re far from perfect — and utterly besieged by cars — but we’re fiercely passionate about making them better places to live, raise kids, and grow old. It’s why we’re working so hard to make car-free transportation the default way of getting around, and help transform our cities for the better. Here’s our vision for Transit and the future of cities: vision.transitapp.com ✨ ~~ Les villes sont notre chez-nous.

We’re helping Boston riders take action and get the Wu train back on the right track! 🛤️💪 The mayor backtracked on Boylston Street’s Better Bike and Bus Lane, and bike lanes are now under review citywide. Bostonians deserve safe and efficient commutes — and campaigns from TransitMatters and LivableStreets Alliance are live in the app right now, so city residents can speak up! 🗣️

From the snowbanks of Minnesota to the deserts of California, our new partners are rolling out free Royale for more riders! ❄️☀️ Whether they’re catching a bus in St. Paul or hopping on light rail in Minneapolis, Metro Transit riders in the Twin Cities will be getting twice the nice with Royale. Next, we’re heading west to California’s Coachella Valley — SunLine Transit Agency riders are getting free access to Royale just in time for a certain music and arts festival. (This latest update brings our official agency partner count to a whopping 180!) 🎉🎉

We’re in a golden state o’ mind… Cal-ITP: California Integrated Travel Project has endorsed the ETA Accuracy Benchmark! 🎉🌉🎉 At Transit we know all-too-well the difference that high-quality transit data makes. Without it, ridership plummets. Service complaints soar. But while good transit data is worth its weight in gold, there’s no real gold standard. How’s an agency supposed to know when its data is falling flat, or passing with flying colours? The ETA Accuracy Benchmark, designed alongside our partners at Swiftly, Inc. (and supported by industry leaders like RTD, Miami-Dade, CapMetro, and C-TRAN) gives our industry a north star for data quality. With support from Cal-ITP, the transit data stewards for California, the ETA Accuracy Benchmark is getting a HUGE boost to becoming the mark of data quality for transit agencies big and small. Huge thanks to Cal-ITP, Swiftly, and all our agency supporters for bringing more transparency, accountability, and (most importantly!) punctuality to our industry ❤️🚌💪
Swiftly and Transit are happy to announce that the California Department of Transportation's Integrated Travel Project (Cal-ITP) has offered their support for the ETA Accuracy Benchmark. We are proud to continue the work of fostering consistency and transparency in the measurement of such a critical metric in transit, and we welcome Cal-ITP's support. “Cal-ITP supports the development of data quality performance metrics to help move this industry towards better transit data quality. Transit agencies large and small as well as vendors can use metrics such as the ETA Accuracy Benchmark to measure data quality in a standardized fashion. These metrics can help vendors create higher quality products that achieve better data quality. This improved data quality will result in better functioning systems for transit agencies and an improved rider experience.” — Evan Siroky, Transit Data Quality Branch Manager, Caltrans Read more about the benchmark here: https://lnkd.in/gSAbuChs

We’re shaking the sand out of our shoes from American Public Transportation Association's MCX 2025, and headed back to the land of puffy parkas… but with two shiny AdWheel Awards stuffed in our suitcase! One for our advocacy work (promoting transit-related ballot initiatives) and another for the Riders Choice Awards. So nice seeing you all in Long Beach! 👋🌴🏆
