This October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Ontario Breast Screening Program dropped the age of screening from 50 to 40. This change makes it easier and more accessible for the most at-risk groups to book screenings and will increase the rate of early diagnosis. Early diagnosis saves lives and reduces the long-term impacts of cancer and treatment.
