It's National Drowning Prevention Week and a great time to remind everyone to make sure they stay safe on the water. We'd proud to support Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue's fantastic lifejacket loaner program Kids Don't Float. Thanks to the amazing volunteers for all the work you do promote a culture of safety on the water.
🌊It's National Drowning Prevention Week 🌊 At Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue, we're dedicated to saving lives on the water. Our Kids Don't Float program is a crucial part of this mission, with lifejacket loaner stations at more than 100 marinas, docks, and beaches along the coast of BC and in the Shuswap. Lifejackets are essential for water safety, especially for children. This week, we remind everyone to make use of our loaner stations and ensure your kids are wearing lifejackets. Together, we can prevent drowning and promote a culture of safety on the water. Huge appreciation to Western Group for your sponsorship of this program.

Canada Together at Canada Place was an incredible celebration filled with vibrant performances, cultural activations, and mouth-watering food. This year we also added a new Port Community Zone, which was sponsored by Alliance Grain Terminal Ltd., ILWU Canada, Neptune Terminals, West Coast Reduction Ltd., Western Group, and Wallenius Wilhelmsen. This zone featured displays, fun activities, and a speaker series, allowing attendees to learn more about the Port of Vancouver. Collaboratively planned with representatives from the Musqueam Indian Band, Squamish Nation, and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation) every detail from the programming to the name and theme was thoughtfully considered to create a welcoming experience for all. Thank you to our talented events and experience team who organized this annual event – making it bigger and better than last year!

An absolute pleasure to spend some time with employees at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority this afternoon to share more about who we are and what we do at Western IntermodeX and Western Stevedoring Company Ltd. Today, we hosted a customer spotlight session with employees to learn more about Western Group – a transportation and logistics company at the Port of Vancouver that facilitates the connection between Canada’s supply chain and global markets. It comprises several enterprises, including Western IntermodeX and Western Stevedoring Company Ltd. Stevedoring. Together, they prioritize reliable, safe, and professional cargo and people movement across the region and beyond.
