August 18th marks World Breast Cancer Research Day, a day dedicated to spotlighting the importance of ongoing research in the fight against breast cancer. While October shines a spotlight on breast cancer advocacy and research, this day reminds us to support the breast cancer community beyond that. Breast cancer doesn't discriminate based on gender, affecting both women and men. The significance of the 18th day of the 8th month reflects the 1 in 8 women (and 1 in 833 men) who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes. WICC is thrilled to announce another appointment to its board of directors this week. We’re excited to welcome Monique LeBlanc, FCIP of The Insurance Institute of New Brunswick. Monique was key in establishing WICC’s roots in Atlantic Canada, and will represent our growing presence in this important region. We look forward to collaborating with Monique and are grateful for all of the skills and passion that we know she’ll bring to her role.

It's been nearly one month since our industry came together for WICC Ontario's 2024 Relay for Life, where together we raised nearly $200,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.
