A late-ish post while I was recovering, but another successful MIGS event! Shout out to everyone who I met and were willing to listen to my ramblings about the video games production tax credit. I'm also glad to meet new people and hopefully new friends in the video games industry. Once again, I'm very grateful for Nordicity for allowing me to participate in this wonderful event. My second MIGS is officially done! ✨ (Yes, okay, it’s been done since last Thursday, but I had to catch up on sleep 😴 ) Working in the video game industry has been a dream of mine for the longest and I never thought it possible - yet I now get to mix work with my passion, which I truly realize at the events I attend 🥹 Connecting with industry friends and colleagues is always a pleasure, and I genuinely enjoy it when people seek me out for game marketing advice. So pleeeease keep those questions coming—I love helping however I can! A quick shout-out to the Quebec gaming scene: Starting my career in Montreal set the bar high. This industry is vast, but feels like a very close group that is always happy to share advice, and I truly believe that this is unique to the Video Game Industry 🎮 🤝 A huge thanks to my friends at La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec and XP Gaming Inc. for organizing such an incredible event. 88 Developers, one thrilling quest: Make a game in just two days! This weekend, we're honored to host Quiver Games at our studio for the Town One Game Jam, where game devs from all over Vancouver will race to build games themed about <REDACTED>! Our own Maurice Grela and Willem Toorenburgh will be among those intrepid developers. We're also proud that our own David Ok, Roy McCombe, and Liam Smyth are stepping up to provide mentorship and advice to all participants hungry to learn from industry veterans! A special thanks to Quiver Games' David Boguslavsky and Ihor Pospishnyi for organizing this event. Their drive to foster and create opportunities for Vancouver game developers is inspiring. In tough times what matters most is community, and we're proud to support their mission.

It’s been an incredible experience at the Montreal International Game Summit (MIGS)! Had the opportunity to connect with some of the brightest minds in the gaming/tech industry, from Asus, AWS, indie game studios, TakeOff Agency, and many more. Got to work some videos, quizzes and interviews discussing the struggles and success with marketing for their companies and games, especially content & influencer marketing! A week in Quebec: #migs24 gatherings, may it be planned or impromptu, had created such intimate environment where we come together without barriers. We usually started as strangers and very quickly became like old friends. Those that we already been acquainted became family. That’s the magic of in person gatherings and side effects of an amazing game conference. The conference become family reunion for many of us in this industry. Thank you Jason Lepine for keeping MIGS alive, Jason RM Smith and Philip Weiss for the Game Caviar dinner, Chris Wren for the XDS Sparks after dark party, and Jason Della Rocca for the VIP afterparty. Also all the friends who fell for my last min Halloween dinner plan that was not planned at all, LOL!!
