It's been a fantastic first year for Youth STEM Initiative, which was founded exactly one year ago. For the past 12 months, we have all been privileged to welcome over 100 members to our team consisting of researchers, editors, outreach directors, and social media managers who all contribute to writing, editing, publishing and sharing high-quality content produced by our global team of young aspiring scientists. The incredible array of science work that has been posted on our website, blog and social media has garnered the attention of many and is a testament to the dedication and collaborative spirit of our members. In addition to this, we've had 4 incredible summer webinars with doctors, professors, and scientific researchers—namely, Abisola Zainab Kehinde, Dr. Amy Tsurumi, Dr. Michael S. Kobor, and Dr. Kevin Bermea—working at institutions like Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and UBC Medicine who shared their fascinating academic journeys and the impact they've had in the world of science. This collective effort of Youth STEM Initiative has not only showcased the innovative research and ideas emerging from young minds worldwide but has also strengthened our mission to make science more accessible and engaging to a broader audience. As we look forward to the coming years, we are excited to continue building on this momentum, expanding our reach, and inspiring the next generation of scientists and science communicators. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this remarkable journey in the past year! 🙌🏽🇨🇦🇧🇪🇯🇵🇹🇷🇪🇸🇧🇷🇮🇷🇪🇬🇬🇧🇲🇦🇩🇪🇦🇷🇹🇳🇨🇾🇵🇰🇵🇪🇱🇧🇨🇴🇿🇦🇦🇪🇬🇷🇰🇬🇸🇦🇺🇸🇳🇬🇵🇱🇮🇳🇷🇴🇺🇿🇭🇺🙌🏽 A special shoutout to the YSI team comprised of these wonderful people: Amirali Banani, Abeer I., Izabela Ninu, Shayan Baghshomali, Arshia Akhgari, Manal Hakeem, Anastasiia Kratiuk, Elif Hangül, Valentina Romero Santamaria, Mark-Daniel Leupold, Maria Fujisawa, Mielle van den Berg, Elena Mishina, Tamlyn Stevens, Nayra Cadavid, Deniz Guler, Makenna Yen, Judy Ayman, Vasiliki Avgeri, Carla J., Wojciech Kowalski, Belen Montesinos, Naz Oğuz, Roza Anastasiadou, Ela Öztürk, Yuejia W., Salomé Blandón Atía, Hande Naz Kavas, Vlada Yarosh, Maya G., Mariem Degdagui, Amina Kalandarova, Maya Nino, rafaa alharbi, Myrto Terpsiadou, Enya Dumitru (more names mentioned below in the comments!)
