The Hub was delighted to host a productive and informational meeting with Christophe T Spring from Kägi Söhne AG at the consulate earlier today! Kägi is a family company which was founded in 1942 in St.Gallen. Their chocolate-covered wafer is a delicious treat which proudly represents Swissness. We had the pleasure to discuss Kägi’s market entry in Canada and taste the various wafers and pralinés des Alpes. Thank you for passing by Christophe! This evening, the Hub had the pleasure to host an event celebrating the launch of Amberg Group Canada. Professionals from sectors such as mining, rail, public transit and infrastructure were all in attendance and were thoroughly engaged with the Amberg team. The launch event also coincided with the TAC Conference in Montreal, which brought some extra excitement. This select group of experts had the opportunity to meet, network and learn more about the impressive capabilities of the Amberg Group. The company implemented many major infrastructure projects worldwide and also in Canada where they are best known for their work on the Toronto subway system. The Canadian Amberg launch is an exciting stage of growth for the company, a Swiss family-owned business with operations in 11 countries and growing. The Hub congratulates Amberg on this achievement. The Hub was delighted to join 170 esteemed guests at the Soirée Suisse held at the Consulate of Switzerland in Montreal !   This annual gathering allowed for many fruitful exchanges with key partners and stakeholders while enjoying a traditional raclette. The Hub had a rewarding week at the annual Invest Academy at the top of beautiful Mount Rigi! Business Intelligence was a clear focus of this 2024 edition and will be the key priority of the Hub going forward. The Investment Summit, that took place today, gathered over 130 people from across Switzerland and abroad to celebrate success, discuss opportunities and share experiences. As the summer unfolds in Switzerland and the lakes and rivers fill with swimmers, the Swiss Business Hubs came this week from all over the world for their annual update training on investment promotion. This week we had the opportunity to take part in the Tech Experience Tour and visit innovation parks in the Cantons of Bern, Ticino and Zurich. There have been many valuable opportunities to learn about key technologies such as AI, Drones, Robotics and Virtual Reality. Understanding the innovative capabilities and strengths of Switzerland is a core foundation of business intelligence. The Hub intends to leverage those insights and contacts in upcoming projects. Additionally, this week has given excellent opportunities to have exchanges with colleagues and better understand how the Hub can best support them going forward. Next week: Mt.
